Saturday May 10th at Adado Riverfront Park for Rock Lansing could not have asked for better weather. There were no clouds in the sky and even at the highest temperature it was still enjoyable to be out there.

I arrived early in the day, partially because I was anxious about parking, but mostly from excitement. This was my first outdoor music festival and I wanted to make sure I knew where everything was. Luckily, Evan Thomas of TAG Publicity made this a super easy and enjoyable experience! There was great communication before, during, and even after the event. I’m incredibly thankful to have had this opportunity.

As far as negatives go, I can’t really think of any. There were a handful of photographers in the pit[s] but we all found a way to work around each other with limited bumps and getting in the way of a shot. While walking between stages I took a few crowd shots and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I saw one person being carried away due to a medical situation so I hope they’re ok and that they have a speedy recovery. As a general reminder: Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and check to see how your meds may affect you in all types of weather.

I also want to give a shout out to the security guard that was at our gate that day. Sadly I cannot read my own handwriting on my card so I am once again unsure if your name was Ethan or Evan but if I could give you a high five or anything I would. Additionally, a big thanks to the trash crew. Your job may not be considered glamorous but you helped keep the park beautiful for the day and I don’t recall seeing any trash on the ground or any overful trash bags on the premises.
