Kristen Sturgis
I admit when I got to Rock Lansing that morning I didn’t plan on interviewing or talking to anyone. I was just going to take photos and go on my way. But when you see an opportunity to do something new: do it.
Luckily, people like Kristen Sturgis from Conquer Divide exist and were on board to sit and chat with me for a few minutes. We sat down in the same place as I had done my previous interviews [sitting on the grass behind the main stage], but slightly farther back and could look out into the water.
Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses or 1 horse sized duck?
Kristen - I would rather deal with 100 duck sized horses because there wouldn’t be any violence necessary.
Click Happy Media - What do you mean?
Kristen - Horses hate water. I rode a horse once and we got to a puddle and it didn’t want to walk through it and we had to go around. So I would usher the duck sized horses towards the water and they wouldn’t attack and would go somewhere else.

When Kristen is not performing or song writing with Conquer Divide, they are a traveling critical care nurse. And though this first question is still considered a touch on the silly side, I thought that Kristen’s answer was very thoughtful and shows that caring side you see in people in the medical field that really love what they do.
